Negatives: Fire alarm went off in the morning. Ordered a king room with a refrigerator and microwave was put in handicap room. Noisy. Poor breakfast. Normally Hampton is fine this was not.

Negatives: Bathroom, tub and shower were dirtyold. The large shampoo, conditioner and shower gel ..shampoo was empty, shower gel was no longer attached to the wall. And the lotion container was close to falling off the wall by the sink.

Negatives: Property charges $100 deposit at check-in, even on prepaid rooms. When asked was told this is standard operating procedure. I stay in many hotels every month, it is not standard in Hampton Inns to prepay for "incidentals". It's a Hampton Inn, there are none. Also, parking can be tough, the lot fills up and there is nowhere nearby you can park without being at risk to be towed. Front desk suggested I park in a lot across a 4 lane road that had signed posted to warning about overnight parking.

Negatives: Not enough parking - but it was a very big weekend at MSU, so maybe that isn't a problem, generally. Room smelled a little musty.
