Positives: The pool & hot tub were up and running so we got to enjoy that. Breakfast in the morning was good. Bar drinks were nice & strong. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Negatives: The thermostat in our room did not work so we could not control the heat or air conditioning in our room. Thankfully it didnt become an issue as it was a nice day.

Positives: The hotel was very nice.
Negatives: There was no complementary breakfast with our room. We tried three times to check in early but were told no. Check-in was at 3 p.m. at about 4 p.m. they called us and asked if we would give up our room for accommodations across the road. I said no.

Negatives: The staff was rude, we interrupted their Uno card game, I asked for a roll-away bed the lady was rude. I asked if they could hold a key for my daughter she was traveling behind me - the guy said he would add her to the reservation - they wrote her name on a paper with the room key and when she arrived 2 hours later a different staff member wouldnt let her in or have the key.. The room was wet feeling, bed, floor, carpet, someone has left the window open.. usually stay at the La Quinta every time we come to Starkville and now I know why.. it was horrible..

Positives: Location was perfect and rooms were nice and clean.
Negatives: Staff overbooked us. We only stayed 3 nights and were charged for 9 nights. We called to try and resolve this issue and still have not been resolved. Also during our booking we paid the extra for the free breakfast included. And everyday we were there they claimed we didnt pay for it so I have to go to the main desk and get our breakfast approved before we could eat. And they made us do this all 3 mornings. Like we booked each day separately. Which obviously we didnt. Staff just seemed like they didnt care about their guests to me. My opinion though.
