Overall a good stay.
Positives:
The staff were very welcoming and helpful when needed. Everyone that I saw always had a smile on their face and would ask if everything was ok. The pool was nice, and the bed was very comfortable. The location was perfect for where we were visiting.
Would probably stay here again and just remember to bring my own breakfast food or plan to eat out for breakfast. The coffee was ok.

The room was comfortable, but it was a bit of a pain trying to get the bathroom light on. Took multiple tries both days. Feel like the switch may have a short. The breakfast was a little to be desired. Apple juice tasted very watered down. When we checked in, we were told the breakfast was part of the cost of the stay. With that being said, a mini biscuit/bun with a mini sausage patty on it was not very filling or tasty. The only fruit options were apples in which both days they were very bland per my son. Both days, the waffle mix was just enough to fill the cup less than halfway to the full line. While each hotel is different, it's nice to be able to start your day with a good breakfast. Would have liked for there to be a sleep timer on the TV. Would have also liked for there to have been a freezer in the fridge.

At 8 in the morning, housekeeping was in the hall yelling back and forth at each, then they started talking on their walkie talkies. It was so important for everyone on our floor to know so and so "done got a job at Holiday Inn". The room was on the verge of being considered gross. Even though we were in a non-smoking room, it smelled so much like cigarettes that it gave all of us a headache. Baymont used to be a nice place to stay, but I definitely do not recommend it now.

Received key at checkin and staff was sitting on bed in our room. Went to ask for a different room and received attitude, like it was my fault. Hairs on towels, weird substances on bed. Clock at bedside not working. "Not responsible for car break-ins" signs in the parking lot made us feel EXTRA SAFE. NOT. WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS HOTEL IN TUPELO.
