The location is prime and the staff is always great. Super friendly folks who are always ready to help or answer any questions. They are a huge reason why I love the museum hotel. The hotel was celebrating Pride and even had a drag show which I appreciated and loved.
Negatives:
I’ve stayed many times, both for work and leisure. This time I noticed some issues that should be addressed. The air conditioning leaves a lot to be desired. We specifically checked in to leave our luggage and get the room cooled down for our return. It was 80 degrees in the room at that time. When we returned it was 77. We were so
hot the first night we sweat through our clothes
and couldn’t use blankets. We did call the front
desk and they claimed the air conditioning is
“motion activated.” I don’t really know what to even say to that. The bathroom specifically had a horrible smell, especially when the water in the sink would run, but you could smell it all the time. There wasn’t a great odor in the room itself either. The area behind the coffee station (on the
floor) was filthy. Those are difficult areas to clean but I would want to know these things if I were managing the property.
Valet parking of $39 per day is excessive but I’ll admit I’m thrifty. I didn’t use it. Probably would have if it was reasonable.

The style of the hotel is very nice, this is definitely something special. I'm traveling a lot and I'm so tired of all this boring HolidayInn types of hotels, there is no personality, so boring. So I do appreciate a lot when there is a creativity takes place in every detail and every touch.
My husband and I had a wonderful time at this hotel for our anniversary. The staff were top notch, very courteous and positive. Special thanks for fulfilling the request for champagne in the room upon arrival. Such details form wonderful impressions. The hotel is quiet, comfortable and safe.

The staff was amazing. From the valet to the front desk, everyone was so friendly and efficient. Beds were comfortable and room was spacious. The art galleries were very cool and added a nice, unique touch to the ambience of the lobby

For a hotel rated so highly it was not as clean as you would want or expect. I understand old pipes are old pipes, but when you ran the water in the bathroom sink, it produced a sulfur smell. They have also opted for the more eco-friendly larger bottled shared products in the bathroom, which would be fine, if they kept them stocked. The conditioner and body wash were completely out. This also might have been a booking.com error, but the pet fee was not explicitly stated and so we arrived to an extra $75 non-refundable fee added to our bill.

Great location for downtown activities, close to the free trolley . Exceptionally nice, helpful staff. Comfortable bed. A great recommendation for a nearby deli restaurant.

Dark room. No view. Bathroom needs towel bars and a safety grab bar for the bathtub. One recommendation for a very poor Mexican restaurant nearby.
