The location of the hotel was fine, though it was not easy to find the main entrance. The valet parking staff was very good. The sizes of the bedroom and bathroom were generous. Within walking distance to the Country Club Plaza.
Negatives:
This hotel was an expensive disappointment. All flash and decor, very minimal service. The front desk staff (except for Nate (?)) was uninterested, unwelcoming, and kept on talking to each other while guests were waiting to be helped. The rooftop bar/restaurant was a throwback to the disco era, very cold and unwelcoming. Blue and fuchsia lights anyone? When we went to the rooftop for breakfast (as offered) there was no staff present. We opted for coffee in the coffee bar, but the breakfast selection of stale pastries in plastic and old and very expensive yogurt cups was not appealing. Our room was OK, though it could have done with a good dusting (headboard, lamps) and the in-room amenities where not of a luxury quality.
