The property was nicely furnished and what I expected for the pricing of the rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful, and one of the best parts of the stay!
Negatives:
There were cracks and peeling in one part of the ceiling, the toilet seat wasn’t screwed in completely, the ice machine didn’t work, the bath water wouldn’t completely turn off, and there was some sort of mold or other gross mess in the bathroom air vent. Otherwise, it was fine. Also, paying for parking in an open lot, by the day, was a little unexpected…

Positives:
Parking was good. Kitchenette was nice but didn't need it for this stay.
Negatives:
Upon check in, was given the wrong room. Given a queen size bed when a king was ordered. Went back to the desk and the staff found a room with a king bed and switched us. Upon arrival to that room, there was a portable air conditioner next to the bed even though the room had air conditioning and the thermostat on the wall was set to 68 degrees. That air conditioner unit kicked on and off all night, and when it kicked on it was literally as loud as a generator which woke us up every time it kicked on. When we left, I did scan the outside of the building and noticed other rooms also had supplemental window units, so it appears the cooling units cannot keep up with the hot St. Louis summers. Under the microwave, the housing was cracked and had caked on grease and needs replaced. The linen on the bed appeared to be clean, however we noticed there was no mattress pad so the fitted sheet was literally on top of the mattress, which was pretty unsanitary. The towels in the bathroom were sitting on the back tank of the toilet, which is also unsanitary. There needs to be a wall rack to set towels on.
The door to the furnace/air unit would not lock or shut, so had to prop the ironing board up against the door so it wouldn't hang open. The unit itself was filthy, covered with a thick layer of dust and needed the filter changed and a shop vac taken to it, which was probably the reason the room needed supplemental air conditioning in the first place. We did call the desk and someone came up and locked the door. Was really disappointed for the price. My expectations were higher for the brand. I travel to St. Louis for extended periods of time and was really looking for a new hotel I could start staying in, but unfortunately it will not be this one.
