no one at the front desk to check in guests arriving later in the evening; had to wait 15 minutes for someone to arrive

It was questionable if it was one of those quiet during the day and obnoxious at night, but it wasnt.
Negatives:
The beds were awful they were on metal frames, If this is just a place to crash for a few hours or in an emergency need a place that has a kitchenette. It was not our typical 3-4* that we stay at.

they charged me an additional 83 usd for so called taxes, despite me booking with pre-payment through booking.com, with clear proof that my payment already included all taxes

The hotel smelled very strong of marijuana and the tv remote didn't work. And worst of all, from about 2:00-3:30 there were people roaming the halls and knocking on doors. I would have left if I thought I could make it to my car safely.
