Wyndham Omaha/West Dodge

Negatives: My room wasn't as clean as it should be, no one vacuumed the carpet, so they moved me to a different room, which had stains all over the carpet. I only stayed because I barely see my family and I wanted us to just make the best of it. Then the rates were different from one night to the next. I paid $20 more on the second night than that of the first night. I asked for extra towels which I had to go get instead of them providing good quality customer service in bringing them to me. The wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling off of the wall.

Negatives: Management and staff are completely unprofessional. Had many problems with room and room had illegal window safety features. No screen on the window and it opened completely on the 5th floor. Broken curtains. Broken towel racks, loose bathroom sink, dirty coffee pot in the room, brown and black stains on the bedding and pillows. Fitted sheets had a rip in it. Asked for new bedding and that also had brown stains. Weird stains in the tub, water took about 15 minutes to even get luke warm. Vent in the bathroom didn’t even work. Heater barely worked had to have it above 80F and I normally keep my house at 68F year round. My bf also found a used drug pipe in the back parking lot in the first parking spot nearest to the building and they didn’t really seem to care people were using hard drugs on the property. ALSO FOUND A WEIRD BUG ON THE HEATER!!! I booked this room for my Golden Birthday coming up and was completely disappointed when i found out the bar was closed down and nothing on the booking said that. It was the main attraction to this hotel and why I wanted to stay, it was nothing but hell!!! Also the breakfast was completely cold and we got it around 6:20ish am. Breakfast started at 6am. We felt like our stay was well deserved of a complete refund because of the misleading advertisement about the bar and the cleanliness of the hotel and because of all the other listed reasons. Management was only wanting to give partial compensation for just the dirty bedding and was saying if he gave full compensation that it would have to come out of his front desk worker’s paycheck. He only decided to say he’ll refund completely when we were checking out. I have a video of his saying to the front desk worker to “shut up” when she was talking and him and the front desk lady saying they’ll refund the full amount and I have yet to receive it. I did receive my $50 deposit back though.

Negatives: Our neighbor screamed the entire stay, we’d confront them but they were clearly on drugs. The entire building reeked of cigarettes and urine.The room was filthy. The shower looked like it hasn’t been cleaned. The ceiling was falling apart.

Negatives: First the only door to enter was the front door by the lobby so taking my service dog out forced me to walk around half the building in the middle of the night. Not safe. The side doors were equipped with the key card for entry but was told they haven’t worked for years. Then the bathroom light flickered once and wouldn’t turn on so the bathroom was dark when you closed the door. This was fixed the next day. The hot and cold water was backwards in the shower. Wall paper was peeling off the walls and as I walked down the hallway I passed a black garbage bag taped on the wall to cover the hole in the wall. In the 3 days I was there (weekdays), I never saw anyone working on the problem. Then the person staying in the room next to me had the TV on so loud we couldn’t hear our own TV. When asked to turn it down they only did it for 30 minutes. If they have a hearing loss then put them in a room further away from other guests. There were plenty of empty rooms to choose from. After all they came in after we had. I know because the loud noises woke me up for hours. The breakfast only had 1 protein called eggs, but they didn’t look like or taste like scrambled eggs. They had the consistency of cream of wheat and no flavor at all. Honestly they looked like powdered eggs. The orange juice was orange colored water. The best options were the breads and the waffles. Both which are not good for any diabetic or someone watching carbs. Only one type of tea, English breakfast. Not even generic black tea like Lipton. When asked about why no proteins other than powdered eggs, I was told “we have bacon and sausage on the weekends.” As if people do t eat those during the week. As an owner of Wyndham time shares, I have stayed in many hotels and have come accustomed to the standards Wyndham provides that were not provided at this location. I was embarrassed to tell my relatives who I was visiting in Omaha where I was staying. In fact told them not to recommend this hotel to anyone.

Negatives: Sheets had blood or other bodily fluid on them. That was gross. Just felt kind of run down, but decent price.
