The hotel was a disappointment...
Positives:
We booked the Park MGM because of the no smoking casino - this was great, though we’re not huge gamblers so we didn’t spend much time in there, but it did mean there was no smell of smoke anywhere in the hotel.
The room itself was clean and spacious, but it lacked amenities for what I expected from a 4 star.
It’s in a good location, close to other properties on the strip and plenty to eat and drink (and for a variety of budgets too).
Negatives:
Lack of amenities that I would expect from a 4 star hotel at this price point - no free water, no robes, no slippers, no extra toiletries… it was very expensive to stay over new year and it didn’t feel like value for money. And no tea/coffee facilities either so we had to buy hot drinks in the cafes downstairs which are very expensive.
On check out, two bottles of water at 18 dollars each (!!!!) were added to the bill! We didn’t drink them, and our (very small) minibar only had 2 bottles of water on it on arrival. The next day when housekeeping had been in, it had 4 bottles on it. So they tried to charge for 2 bottles that were never in the room in the first place. Looks like someone else has had this happen too so beware… We had to go to the check in desk to get this removed (rather than doing express checkout). Thankfully the lady behind the desk got rid of this for us.
When we left our luggage after check out the man who took the luggage was very rude. But when we retrieved it, a different man was much more polite.
