The booking was cancelled 1 hour before we were supposed to check-in. I was supposed to pay at the property, I guess they got another customer for a higher price and so cancelled my booking.

We arrived at the hotel at 10:00 pm to discover a water issue, and the hotel didn't have any water. They were aware of that problem from 8:00 am and did not think about notifying guests planning to check in that day.
We had to drive back 3 hours and cancel our plans for the next day.

The breakfast can be significantly improved.., with separate offerings of hash browns, sausage/bacon, and scrambled eggs with condiments and shredded cheese offerings,

Unfortunately there was an issue with the water supply but the hotel refunded payment for one of the two nights we stayed there. I thought that was fair compensation.

The room was very clean and the front desk staff were wonderful.
Negatives:
The first morning we were there the water in the hotel stopped working. It was not possible to shower and toilets would only flush periodically. There was no communication from the hotel about this issue. The next day when we asked the front desk staff about the issue again, they told us a pipe broke off site and they did not know when it would be repaired. After two days without water we checked out and moved to a nearby hotel that had water. While the pipe break was likely not the hotel’s fault, they truly failed when it came to communication. Two small bottles of water were provided when asked for. The front desk was friendly when asked, but there was no proactive communication.
