Easy check in, check out. Quiet location

I Damaged my phone prior to checkin and the hotel insisted I couldn't use their phones in the rooms to make calls outgoing or incoming. TV was old no internet. No Netflix or any TV app. Also Couldn't use our own firestick.

Positives:
I didn’t like anything. The area was decent but everything closed pretty early considering it was right by a major highway and the turnpike.
Negatives:
First off. It’s summer why is the pool closed and growing trees on it?? The rooms were disgusting. Housekeeping didn’t clean our rooms once during our week stay because you have to ask for your room to be cleaned and even then it’s a few days wait. One of our rooms had a horrible odor that smelled like wet stinky shoes, the tv did not work or have a proper remote and the phone was broken so you couldn’t call the front desk. No amount of air freshener would get rid of the smell. Our other room that housed our children was riddled with roaches and smelled like it had been smoked in for years. The smoke smell was so strong we took it home with us because it was embedded in our clothing. This is a 100% smoke free hotel. Why does the room smell like cigarettes???? Overall would never stay there again or recommend it. Yes it’s cheap but honestly you get what you pay for.
