Unhelpful staff. Air conditioning that kept cutting off and on loudly, resulting in sleepless nights. Rooms only cleaned once a week and the stove in the kitchen was only one temperature (scorching) making it impossible to cook anything you did not want burnt.

Positives:
Juan at reception was excellent, always cheerful and even great with some difficult customers we saw once or twice. The room was comfortable and clean, any issues were fixed quickly and without fuss. We loved the free laundry facilities and the location close to two PATH stations and lines meant that you aren't more than a few minutes from Manhattan. You're also close enough to the great restaurants and shops of Newark Ave. It was a lot cheaper to stay here than in Manhattan and definitely worth it.

The passing trains may annoy very light sleepers, but it didn't bother me too much.

The room was nice and has a kitchen attached to it. The place was clean.
Negatives:
The electricity was out on second night. The staff was over worked and check in took 20 min. I stayed an extra night and nobody came to change my sheets so I had to do it myself… I got a refund for the second night tho so that was a good solution

Clean spacious rooms. Affordable gated parking.
Negatives:
Staff was very slow. Often only one person on desk resulting in very long waits. One trainee was left to deal with a lobby full of people. Our card stopped working twice and had to wait each time to get it fixed. Probs spent a total of 30 mins waiting at desk over course of 2 night stay.
