Negatives: The basin in our bathroom was fully cracked from one side to the other, and although it had likely been cleaned, the crack was brown and stained so it never felt clean. Likewise with the kitchen bench which was cracked and had cut marks (?) on the surface. The air conditioner was awful - the room was either stiflingly warm or freezing and when it turned itself on it was incredibly noisy. There wasn’t any fresh water or a small milk provided in the fridge. Only one large drinking tumbler was provided, no soup/dessert spoons and only two of everything else; two teaspoons, forks, knives. So if you had various items to eat, you had to wash your cutlery before eating the next item. For example, if you made coffee, you had to wash your teaspoon to eat your breakfast with. Similarly, the toiletries were basic, just one bar of soap and body wash provided in the shower; no shower cap etc. As the room was small, only one armchair was provided and low coffee table. So we ate while sitting on the bed. Getting to New York was a bit of a pain from here, and the shops were a reasonable distance away on foot. I understand staying anywhere near New York is expensive, but I don’t feel this is value for money.

Negatives: Our room was missing an iron and hairdryer when we arrived. Furthermore, the stove broke mid-boiling. However, the staff was very friendly and helped us out with all the above. They even gave us a brand new iron and stove.

Negatives: No plug in the sink and none available when we asked so made washing dishes tricky.

Negatives: Unfortunatley, hot water was not working during our stay

Negatives: Staff was absolutely horrible. They were making me look like I am getting some charity from them, after taking ridiculous amount of money

Negatives: 1. The staff wasn't helpful. 2. Rooms weren't cleaned daily, and the cleaning schedule was based on length of stay. 3. Cash was not an accepted mode of payment.

Negatives: Unhelpful staff. Air conditioning that kept cutting off and on loudly, resulting in sleepless nights. Rooms only cleaned once a week and the stove in the kitchen was only one temperature (scorching) making it impossible to cook anything you did not want burnt.

Negatives: The staff is horrible. Check-in time ---- it's supposed to be 4 pm, but don't be surprised if rooms aren't available until 6 pm at the earliest.

Negatives: The passing trains may annoy very light sleepers, but it didn't bother me too much.
