Good
Positives:
The historic feeling of the place. The excellent services within the area (Left Steak across the road with their Waegyu Steak and wine cellar) the monument at the front, and most of all, the excellent glass mural / painting of the Garden of the Hesperides.

Memorable
Negatives:
The parking. You could only park in a parking garage for a fee or valet your car for $30 and there were a lot of homeless people on the streets at night making walking around the hotel unpleasant and unsettling.

Positives:
Interactions with the staff during the booking and during check in were terrible. There were several issues including charging a guest for a room that was clearly pre-paid for. Just terrible. I will be sending a message to the GM...it was that bad.
Negatives:
Very low standard of excellence when it comes to doing right by and for the customer. Multiple instances where I was misinformed. Given a wrong email address -TWICE! Told to call the reservation desk to resolve a booking issue and no one answered for more than 15 minutes, nor was I ever able to leave a message. The front desk Agent Ron was unprofessional and literally told me to 'calm down' when i told him that my room was already paid for. Mind you he had all of the information from the third party and still chose to charge my guest again. And he admitted that he say it was paid for! Unbelievable. He should not be interfacing with customers..

Would not recommend. For a boutique property you would expect better service. Go to the Hyatt.

Perfect
Positives:
It had many attractions near by. The room was great and far from the elevator so not a lot of traffic.
Negatives:
The only issue was the bed, although a spacious king , it was a bit rough on my back but overall very clean well provided , water coffee and plenty of towels. I loved the cable service, had a lot of variety to watch .
