The trip I made was very last minute and was still affordable in the time I had to make a decision about where to stay to visit NYC and my sister who currently lives in Astoria; the staff were always nice whenever I had to ask them for assistance.
The desk always had someone there, and they were always able to help. They even had an info sheet on which buses go to NYC
Room was in very good condition upon my arrival!
Negatives:
The one downside is not the fault of the staff or hotel, but rather the transit system/pedestrian system/infrastructure of NJ; the closest bus stop for the buses to go to NYC was about a 8-9 minutes walk - that itself wasn’t the issue for me. But there was a part of the walk where there’s no sidewalk and you have to walk on the road. Granted that part is not that long - it takes less than minute if you’re walking normally, but if you’re carrying bags like suitcases, it will take longer.
Again, I don’t blame the staff or hotel for this particular bit. But I understand this can be a factor for people with trouble walking.

Very clean and decent amenities. Was close enough to Metlife.

Pay for breakfast that is normally free as a continental breakfast at just about any other hotel out there. And it's not even worth paying for, you're paying for convenience.
