Howard Johnson Hotel by Wyndham Toms River

Negatives: It is very very outdated. The entire hotel that is. The shower didn’t work well and the toilet seat was broken. There was no stopper in the sink and the bathroom door would not close. The pool is nice. Needs some updating. I would have liked the cost to be less for this stay considering.

Negatives: bed frame made lots of noise when you moved on it. i couldnt control the heat and it was hot as hell. the one bed had 2 heating boards on the top of the bed and on the on side so it was really hot to sleep on. the other bed didnt have heating boards thanks be to God and i used it

Negatives: The outside sliding door did not lock.

Negatives: I didn't like the fact there was no area rug. Walking on cold floor is not the best, espeically during the winter. As a smoker, it would have been nice to have an outside ashtray. At the same token, the outside chairs look like they have not been cleaned in years and not just months. You can see people have been using the pillars outside to put out whatever they are smoking along with butts all over the ground. In regards to the slidding door. I love the extra security at the base of the door. The only major down fall is how tough it is to open and close the door. It may not be that way in other rooms, but mine it was a nightmare. Another down fall was not having an ice machine on the first level. The guests have to go up to the second level for ice. The room could use a fresh coat of paint, an upgrade on decore and a bigger tv. For the size of the room I had, the King bed was way too big. It should have had a Queen size. The room is made for 2 people, but not 3 as it is listed for. You can get a queen size bed and pay the same price and have more room. A room with two queen beds would be more logical for more the two people.

Negatives: There are no cups in the room. Street noise. No breakfast. Dated room.

Negatives: honestly it was horrible was charged two deposits for the one room and the room was drafts and cold even with the heat due to the room having gaps between the sliding glass door that the manager came and kicked back together.

Negatives: A garbage can catching water under the bathroom sink; false advertising -- no hot tub; rusty water coming out of the bathtub/shower; heat very difficult to regulate; no lids for coffee; no decaf option in room or in lobby -- I asked; and none available. Even though an employee had a lid for her coffee... For almost $150 for the night, I did not feel at all like I got my money's worth. Ad even said room service was available and this was not the case. No phone directory in room. Shall I go on?

Negatives: Super firm and uncomfortable mattress, loud cheap metal bed frames, cold tile floors, bathroom door drags on the floor and catches on the floorboards, no shower curtain, smaller than standard pillows and only three per bed.
