Positives:
Excellent when you travel with the car and do not want to pay the high NYC parking prices. So close to ferry and so easy to get to NYC. Perfect as a base for a week in and around New York. Very friendly and helpful personell and very good quality of the beds. Public Parking not part of hotel but part of same building complex. Cheap and many parking spaces available.
Negatives:
Breakfast is plenty and personell efficient. Given the price it was adequate but prompt closing of the doors without warning was a bit of a shock, when you wanted to get some more to eat. So better take everything at once.

A nice room but that’s...
Positives:
The room itself was good. It was strange that there was only air conditioning in the bedroom but it was ok. The breakfast was good with lots of options, again though, only one side of the toaster was working, which seems like an extremely cheap item to replace considering the amount of use. The bathroom and bedrooms were very clean. I liked the location and convenience of public transportation without being in the city.
Negatives:
Disappointing that the curtains in the bedroom did not close all the way, so they were not blackout. Also, there were two elevators, but one was broken and not working during our whole stay and we never saw anyone working on it. Additionally, it rained heavily one of the night we were there and when we walked out of our room the next morning, the hallway and area in front of the elevator was full of buckets catching water where it was leaking through the ceiling. Looking at the ceiling it was obvious to see the water damage and that this is an ongoing issue. Even some of the drywall was falling from the ceiling from the water damage. Parking was expensive.

Location was everything. Rooms were new and clean, and they were quite spacious compared to rooms in Manhattan. Right by the water with a wonderful view and quick access to the city via ferry and bus.
Negatives:
No proper city view at all which was misleading.
