I had stayed here before and knew how to find it. Close to where I wanted to be.
Negatives:
It was dirty. Dog shit outside the door. Trash outside stunk horribly when I picked up the dog shit at the door so we wouldn’t step in it bringing in bags. I left all the other piles of shit. Room smelled bad and was not clean. Stayed 2 nights and housekeeping never came. We had to go ask for fresh towels. Homeless people staying in motel standing around smoking everywhere. Trashy. Noisy cars racing on hwy and RT66. cooler didn’t work right/ temp couldn’t be set. Staff was young and not helpful. Keys didn’t work so had to replace them. Staff was indifferent to anything we said, they never smiled once. Bed had a cigarette burn on the blanket. We don’t smoke. We asked for a handicapped room- apparently got a smoking room instead. It stunk and people next door stood outside our door smoking and we could smell it seeping in the door. And the best part was the 3 gun fire shots being fired next door or nearby. We turned off the lights and closed the curtain to try and safeguard ourselves.
As a previously returning guest my mind has been changed. I won’t be back. I was at the hotel in April/May 2024 and returned in 7/2024. I won’t be back after this last experience.
