When I booked my hotel I ask for a upgrade to the balcony room when I got there the lady I spoke with over the phone never changed it she rushed me off the phone and never changed the reservation

The room was clean, bed is comfortable. Good location for access to public transport/metros.
Negatives:
The person who checked us in was really rude and unwelcoming. We were clearly queuing to check in and he acted like he didn’t know what we were there for, go the counter and said we want to check in and he just looks at me doesn’t ask my name or for my passport, like he was expecting me to check myself in? He didn’t give us any information about what floor our room was on, what times meals are served, what floor the gym/pool is on. We had to figure everything out for ourselves.
The lighting in the room is very dim. There is no central switch to turn lights off next to the bed, so you have to get up and turn each individual light off before bed. Our room door was not particularly soundproof - we could hear people on the hallway quite loudly.

Awesome location near Target, a food court, restaurants, coffee shops, Trader Joe’s, and several subway stations! The rooms were very clean, staff was friendly and welcoming too!

Close to the subway station and close to the supermarket and a variety of cafes.
Room and bed were good and comfortable.
Negatives:
Housekeeping was random. Some days we got fresh towels.
Some days we got 1 bottle of water and other days 2 bottles. We had one bar of soap for 7 nights. The shower soap pump pack was removed and not replaced. Fir the brand of hotel, everything should have been consistent.
