The hotel didn't honor the reservation even though it was prepaid. I contacted them by phone to confirm late arrival the day prior and provided the phone record to the manager, but I was informed that the reservation was canceled and no accommodation was available. Their suggestion was to contact booking.com for a solution. I was unable to locate the booking.com site customer service phone number on the app and booked another hotel on my own, albeit at a higher price.
The lessons I have learned are that 3rd part reservations may not be honored, even if prepaid, with the rebooking process being unwieldy. Secondly, I have learned to avoid hotels that I do not have a relationship with. I will be contacting the hotel and booking.com directly and posting my experience on social media and travel sites to inform the public

I don't like the fact that some patrons entered the eating area with no shoes o ! It was rather disgusting to see
