Hilton Garden Inn Westchester/Dobbs Ferry NY

Negatives: when one asks for a handicapped room when booking, it would be nice if they gave us a room closer to elevators. Both this year and last year when we booked, we got the same floor and room, all the way down the hallway! Does that make sense??? And why did your parking have to go up from twelve to fifteen a night? Seems ridiculous that one has to pay even twelve!!!!!!

Negatives: It was challenging to find the main entrance. Never in the booking or check-in processes was it mentioned that there was a fee for parking, I have never paid to park at Hilton before so it was a disappointment to see it on my credit card statement.

Negatives: The swimming pool was advertised, but was not functioning. When booking, a notice should be posted indicating the pool did not work. Also, the signage explaining where to park and how to enter would be very helpful.

Negatives: I feel the included breakfast could have been a bit better. The food was not the greatest. I wish parking pricing could have been a bit cheaper.

Negatives: Smell of the carpet and mold in some areas in Bathroom

Negatives: - Breakfast was fine, was not ultimately disclosed it was $20+ additional when booking. Nonetheless, the woman working the breakfast was insufferable, could not even get a fork after several requests. Orange juice was empty, fresh fruit was empty and could not get cutlery. After asking several times and feeling like a nuisance the associate started to slowly do these tasks without even responding to my polite requests. If you are going to pay for a breakfast, it should at least be stocked with the necessities... Very poor customer Service. - Chicken wing found behind the dresser that our 15-year-old well behaved and quiet dog continued to try and locate. We found out in the morning she ate half of it (God knows how long it was back there for). This is disgusting and the bone shards could have ruptured my dogs stomach lining or internal organs. We brought this to the attention of the front desk staff with a picture. - $75 pet fee was not disclosed at booking, or at least in a manner in which the person booking would notice. - A very corporate-esque nickel and dime experience... maybe I am used to staying in Airbnb's where the owner leaves refreshment in the unit you are staying, but $3 for a PURIFIED off brand water bottle in the hotel room, really? It just screams greed, very tacky. Marriot does not do this. - Pillows extremely uncomfortable.
