Positives:
Best thing about the Aloft Chelsea is its location, hands down. The fact that it's modern, the staff are really cool, and they throw in two drinks for a daily happy hour they hold. I found my entire stay comfortable, and very much look forward to returning!
Negatives:
Checking in when booking through booking.com always seems to cause confusion, but am luckily always found. This always inevitably creates an awkward initial impression and overall experience. As for the Aloft, two constructive pieces of feedback. First, the lobby is WAY too cold. I was not alone in recognizing this fact that seemed to be lost on management and the crew. Second, and much more of a fine point, I have to echo other travellers, a desk in the room for calls at the very least would be enormously useful. All-in-all, awesome experience!

Hotel is nice. Staff is nice except for whoever stole my belongings on the housekeeping team.

They stole a pair of my Nike Dunks and my $900 Dior sandals. And then lied about it. Should have expected it too when I heard the front desk staff chatting about another guest’s luggage “going missing” as well.

Clean, central location, lifts were good.
Negatives:
Hotel charged me twice for our stay, also sent out washing to their dry cleaners when we booked to have a laundry pick it up $500 vs $60, then charged us for the dry cleaning. Eventually refunding it. Then held the payment and took a long while and many complaints to release the funds. Rooms were tiny, nowhere to put the suitcases. View was the building next door. No restaurant in the hotel.
