The location is excellent, just a short walk from Central Park and the American Museum of Natural History. Lots of restaurants and shops close by.
Negatives:
I was disappointed in the upkeep of the room. There were smudges all over the windows, one of the towels had a brown stain on it, the shower curtain was stained and found hair on the room's furniture. Also the elevator needs to be inspected, it was terrifying, it feels very rickety as if it is swaying on the way down, on our last ride in the elevator, it stopped midride and we thought we were trapped, luckily all we had to do was repress the L button and it clumsily brought us down.

Positives:
The public space on the ground floor was a comfortable spot to spend time, whether in the morning or the evening.
Negatives:
The bathroom in our room was showing signs of wear and tear. Also, there was an exterior renovation project in process which created more noise than we would have expected in our room.

Very esthetically pleasing , noticed the warm and accommodating staff right away. The room was super cute and loved the cafe in the lobby. Did the trick for the trip and location.

Location of hotel is good for getting into town and to hop on the subway or walk to Central Park.
There was a relaxed vibe in the small lounge area of the hotel.
It was handy having the PATIS coffee shop in the lobby.
Staff were generally helpful and nice
Negatives:
Lack of bath in bathroom.
Breakfast consisted of a pastry and coffee. Not a full breakfast that I thought I had paid for
Building works resulted in us not being able to open the curtains in our bedroom.
There was no chair to sit at the desk in our room
We didn't get the room we ordered which would have accommodated both myself my wife and our son, but rather we were eventually offered two small rooms instead.
No USB ports next to bed
Ordered towels but they didnt arrive to following day
