Candlewood Suites is pet friendly! Pets weighing less than 80 pounds are welcome. A non-refundable pet fee will be charged to the guest’s account upon check-in based upon the length of stay -- 6 nights up to $75, 7+ nights up to $150. Proper medical certification specifying that all vaccinations are up to date must be available upon request. Pets may be left unattended in your room. However, if you leave the premises of the hotel with your pet unattended in the room, the pet must be in a crate or pet carrier while you are gone.

Positives:
Kayla at the front desk was very good, she went above and beyond. The location is good for a first time visit to NYC.
Negatives:
Bed was uncomfortable, mattress needs changing. Lots of things need updating and changing, most washer/dryers were out of service. The DVD players do not work with the TVs in the room. Our AC system stopped working halfway through our stay. I appreciate things break/need repair, but the communication between the hotel team wasnt good enough as we had to chase things several times.

Considering the incredible prices in the city the hotel is ok, good balance and at least rooms are not tiny.
Negatives:
Do not clean the room everyday, it has to be requested, Is nice to avoid all the unnecessary laundry everyday but the difference between Airbnb and a Hotel should be that, the fact that they clean not requested.
Also should be written in booking.
Only in USA there is a caution deposit for hotels, is incredibly but is all the system in USA not this particular hotel so not their fault.
