Our room key didn’t work three times in three days, we did get free breakfast one day as a compensation but it wasn’t convenient. On our last day we also heard the lock of our door was broken for 3 weeks, which we thought worked.

Good location, some difficulties
Positives:
Excellent Location! The main thing about this hotel is its very central location at an affordable price. Walking distance to Times Square, Rockefeller Center and Empire State Building. Our room had a wonderful view of the NYC skyline. The hotel is in a high rise building with rooms on high floors which gives great views of the city. The bed was also very comfortable.
The staff was very friendly, helpful and cordial which was very much appreciated!
Value for money is excellent considering the location, we also stayed over 4th of July weekend and found the pricing to be extremely good with that in mind.
Negatives:
There seems to be an issue with the elevators, on multiple occasions there were long lines for the elevators which was quite frustrating after a long day. There are 4 elevators but it seemed only 1 or 2 were functioning, not sure if this was an isolated incident or not.
While we appreciated that the hotel held our luggage for a few hours after check out, when we returned the bellman was not present. Reception told us the bellman is coming but they never came. Ended up waiting longer than usual, as did other guests, until the receptionist himself came to release our luggage.
The room was small but is to be expected in NYC besides these two issues our stay was nice.

We liked that the location was close to Central Park and several things that we wanted to see and do in Manhattan. The beds were comfortable and the workout facility was nice.
Negatives:
The room was very tiny. While most of the staff was nice, one woman on the custodial staff did not want us to have four towels in our room even though we had four people. For several hundred dollars a night, we should each be able have our own towel to use.
