Everything was clean and well maintained. Staff was always really helpful and responsive. Location is great.

The room was extra small. There was no space to open the baggage, the only way was to do it on the bed every single time.

The room was very nice, clean and even ample considering it is in NY; the bed was very confortable. 29th street and 6th avenue is not really "elegant" but I assume that reduces the price. Yet it is walking distance from great NY attractions: two blocks from the highland, walking distance from Whitney Museum. Very good subway communication with anywhere in NY, plenty of restaurants and coffee places nearby. It felt safe at night.

Positives:
The staff at the reception did accommodate us on early arrival (they managed to check us at 2 pm while the standard check-in time is 4 pm), as our room appeared to be ready earlier than expected. The room was clean.
Negatives:
Breakfast did not have veg option. Wifi was very weak and interrupted multiple times. On the second day of stay, we left our room for city tour in the morning, expecting the room to be cleaned and towels be replaced, but when we came back in late afternoon, the room was just as we left it - trash untaken, bed unserved, towels not replaced. Other than during check-in, the reception staff wasn't helpful or even friendly. The two elevators we're almost always full, and the 'going down' button did not light at our floor, which created confusion in whether the elevator would stop on our floor or not (and the problem was not fixed during our 3-nights stay while I reported it to the reception staff immediately after discovering on the first day of stay).

Bathroom was not clean. From the appearance of thick dust on the glas shelf it's been a while since it had a proper cleaning. After I brought it to management attention, it was handled. Mouse was running around in the courtyard area. Rooms are super small. Price is definitely for location.

Receptionist can be more friendly and less rude. Luckily i had to deal with them just for check-in and check-out.
They should specify also that cash payment is not accepted, even though i was asking to pay dollars, not with Monopoly token.
