Positives:
The Roosevelt Island location was a delightful surprise. Very laid back, relaxing and walkable. The views of the city are incomparable!
Negatives:
A bit tricky getting into mid-town. The Queensboro Bridge is a bit nerve racking for someone with vertigo!!!

Will definitely stay there again...

Positives:
The hotel design was new, and everything was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The view from the Panorama rooftop bar was amazing.
Negatives:
The included breakfast was very poor - only a few limited options, and it took a long time to get in the morning even though there were just a few options. The portions were small too

Positives:
The location is amazing, relatively quiet compared to Manhattan and still within 15 minutes in Central Park door to door. Also, the F train connection as well as the cable car were perfect!
Negatives:
When we moved the beds to make room for the baby bed, there was a lot of dust and even garbage from previous guests. Especially with the baby crawling around, this was not at the standard we would expect.

Positives:
Everything about it. Great location, fantastic roof top bar and very friendly and accommodating staff. Especially Sakib Ahmed went above and beyond for us. Can't wait to come back

Positives:
Very quiet for “central” New York. Easy transport with the boats, cable car and subway. Super island for a run around.
Hotel was ok, staff were fine although one time I waiting 10 minutes at the unmanned reception.
Negatives:
Room was not cleaned well and the daily cleaning seemed to be just folding our towels.
Would have loved a kettle and mugs in the room.
Weird photos of convicts (?) in room were a little unsettling.

Positives:
Excellent location for visiting Midtown, Harlem, Central park, East village
Beautiful view over East River and skyline of NY and Queens.
Negatives:
Elevator noise! Was really loud.
Breakfast was poor value for money. And little choice in the breakfast formula we took.

Positives:
The estetic of the hotel is amazing and super cozy. The view is exceptional, might be the best in under 600usd/night (would I assume). The location in means of transportation is fine but the tram is beautiful so I didn't mind.
Negatives:
The breakfast was terrible. When you pay good money for a hotel visit with breakfast included I don't mind a half assed breakfast but this was high quality but tiny, tiny portions and the selection was just not good enough I ate breakfast just to not die on my way too the closest café.

Just don't pay for breakfast...

Pleasant
Positives:
It is a mere 1 subway stop away from the bustle (and craziness) of Lexington Madison Ave. And I cannot over-emphasise the solace and calm you feel ascending the long escalator from the subway station on Roosevelt Island. A lie on the grass before you hit your hotel is mandatory with the welcoming view. The views continued into my suite where on the 11th (?) floor I had both the expansive Queensboro Bridge view as well as the Manhattan waterfront view. We took the Tramway just once and it was a cute experience (again, lovely views of lower Manhattan) with the best Trader Joes and TJ Maxx just under the bridge. A visit to the rooftop bar (Panorama Room) is a must - tip: if you have kids, go on Sunday before 3pm. I will choose this hotel with its generous room space and cleanliness way above the other 2 hotels I spent time in at Nomad and the Financial District. LOVE!! PS: Excellent service in the dining room.
