Exceptional
Positives:
It was in a great location. I liked the downstairs open area. We have to stay for three weeks during maintenance for our apartment and while small, it suited the situation well, especially for the price.
Negatives:
The rooftop was one of the reasons I specifically booked the hotel, and yet, several nights while we were there, it wasn’t open. We asked why, and they were like, no one was up there so we closed it for the evening. This was between 6-7 when I was asking. Feels like they just didn’t want to have a staff member up there. To me, it is nice to have a staff member up there who can serve, but not imperative. I think it should just be left open for guests to visit; that’s how the description made it sound.

Positives:
The room was small but it had everything needed for a comfortable stay. There was a big and clean bathroom. The location is perfect - near every major attraction in Manhattan and at the same time in a quiet spot. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

A great stay
Negatives:
I had bad experience with their payment processing, they charged more than what I booked.
Their payment machines was not working properly when I checked in so asked me to try couple of credit cards but none of them worked and they manually used my card in their system.
After I came back from vacation I see my credit card transactions has multiple charges splits and they charged extra around $250 in total.
When I called the hotel they did not respond properly and asked me to check the bank, overall I did not experience this type of bad customer service anywhere.
Be careful what they charge and check your cc transaction then and there.

Good size room, comfy bed and housekeeping came everyday. Clean. Cafe was really nice & great coffee. Cafe manager was lovely, very friendly and went out of her way to get soya milk in for me. Most staff were really helpful and friendly. Just one or two who were disinterested
Negatives:
The hallway carpets need changing, look gross. Would expect more facilities for a 4* eg there’s no room service. I had just a tiny window overlooking a narrow space between building. Barely any light came through and the room lighting was no very bright so it always felt like evening.
