The staff were really friendly. Room had good amenities like an iron, coffee machine, etc.
Negatives:
The room smelled a bit of damp. The area around the hotel is very deprived - lots of drugs, litter, sadly people on the streets with very severe mental health issues. There are nicer and safer areas of New York for sure. We booked a taxi back to JFK through the hotel for what we were told was a set price (including tips) and the driver tried to charge us more so we had to argue it back down.
