The location is the best thing about it.

They cancelled my room whilst I was in the air and flying to New York. When I arrived, they could not find my reservation, initially they blamed it on me, then on further investigation, it turns out one of the managers cancelled it. I was tired. Jetlagged. I just wanted to sleep. It took a lot of back and forth to figure out what happened.
Whilst they reinstated my booking, the right thing to do would have been to give me a room at the rate of arriving that day, as they had cancelled my booking. That rate would have been significantly cheaper than the rate I had for a pre-booked rate. I no longer thought they deserved the higher rate. They only offered to make my room rate be half price for the first night, which was the least they could do. Further, the room they put me in was ridiculously small and dark for the cost (and apparently this room was supposed to be an upgrade. For around $1400, I wondered what a good room would cost at this hotel) , and I was in New York for like 5 nights.
I was so unhappy, that I checked out the next day and stayed at a different hotel that was cheaper and had a beautiful and good sized and light room. My hotel was in walking distance, which is one of the reasons I like the area as there is a lot of choice. I was so much happier in my new place. Hence, the location is the best thing- yes you have Macy's right there (for all us girls who love to shop), but you also have a lot of choice as a tourist.
It's a shame, I stayed here in 2021/22 New Year's Eve/New Year and had a much better experience. I think having the right room is key. Based on this recent experience, I will never stay here again. One of the worst check in experiences ever.
