Our room wasnt ready at 3:00p.m. check-in time and the desk person was far from apologetic about it.
The remote for the tv didnt work. We called and waited an hour for the tech to show up. I found him later as I was on my way downstairs for food. Turned out the desk gave him the wrong room number. He came back to the room with me and gave us a new remote.
When we tried to order food from the restaurant in the rear of the lobby, we found out that there was no room service.
Poorly appointed bathroom with very little manageable counter space and no exhaust fan.

Positives:
There was valet parking! That made getting in easy. We were about 40 mins early. The representative was able to check us in early and was just pleasant overall. The room was clean, beds comfortable and more spacious than I expected. The location was good, very close to Penn Station. The price was decent as nearby hotels were more pricey, so being such a short trip, having a fair price was great. Parking price was $78. I think that also is rather cheap for NYC. There were no bugs! I was concerned about that bc it's NY and reviews for other hotels would have comments about bugs. This hotel was bug free! The thermostat worked great. I get hot quickly, even in Oct, but the ac worked great. I'd recommend staying at this hotel.
Negatives:
I prefer to bath as opposed to showering. There was only a shower. But that wasn't that big a deal for me, the only possible critique I could possibly think of.

A quick family girls trip!
Positives:
The location and the staff! The breakfast was nice as well. Comfortable beds and our room was pretty quiet, considering it's in Midtown.

Nothing. It wasn't luxurious, with tons of amenities, but it was clean and convenient! Nice staff and good location!

Positives:
Honestly, this was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at in New York City. The facilities were clean, the rooms were a good size, the air conditioning worked great, it was quiet, the elevator was fast, the location was perfect, and the value was excellent. I will definitely look to stay here again.

The bar didn't open early enough and there isn't an all-day restaurant.
