INK 48 HOTEL

Negatives: I booked it because of the roof top, it is closed until September, better call them if you are coming for the roof top.

Negatives: The hotel photos show the rooftop bar, but it is now closed and there is no access to it.

Negatives: Should have requested a higher floor for better view.

Negatives: No restaurant or bar at all. No warning of this. Disappointing.

Negatives: No coffee in room.

Negatives: Our first room had no working A/C - the front desk told us it was "on a list" of rooms that had A/C problems and there were no other rooms available. This was during 90-degree plus weather. We were initially told we would get a new room and that our things would be moved by the bellman while we were out. 6 hours later, we returned to nothing been done, and that there were in fact no rooms available, including any upgrades. That was night #1 of our 2 night stay. The next day we were told that we would be moved, and to their credit they did follow through and moved us to an upgraded room, with working A/C. The issues here are 1) They had known problems with rooms (which had been going on for some time), and booked them anyway. Any quality hotel will keep reserve rooms to rotate into maintenance mode for this reason, but not this one. They told us initially that we would be moved and wanted to know if we had "used" the room, so they could move us and "reset" the room in inventory - meaning some other guests would have to deal with it. 2) Maintenance of the hotel is clearly lacking everywhere you look - shower tile was moldy, even in the common areas trash, leftover food and such was literally everywhere, even first thing in the AM, meaning they do not staff appropriately to keep the hotel up. This was true both days we were there. This is a trend in these industrial building-to-boutique hotel conversions. Quick renovations to spruce up the appearance without taking care of the bones of the building, and then not having the expertise to actually run a hotel.

Negatives: it was 80 degrees outside the night I stayed and the AC in the room was broken. the room was very hot and stuffy. you were completely booked and did not have another room. your staff was amazing and I did like everything about the hotel. Just very HOT

Negatives: My second stay at the Ink 48. It was terrible experience this time. Bugs keep coming out of toilet sink. Noise from the club next to the hotel was very distracting. Horrible service at the concierge. DIRTY ROOM CONDITION. Never staying here again period.
