Staff were great and helpful. Breakfast was good, but need to go early as the dining room is very small.
24 hr Coffee in the foyer.
Housekeeping did a good job, but put the sign to "do not disturb" if using the room as we had housekeeping come in while we were having a siesta.

Fantastic staff! We were well taken care of (which is saying a lot in NYC!). We really liked the close parking and awesome breakfast. The rooms were clean and so nice. Would definitely stay again.

Breakfast was great, the room was a little small for breakfast though and you were bumping into people all the time. Food was replenished very quickly the staff were great here.

Rooms were a little small for a big person/people but that is understandable in the limited space of New York. The late check in was a problem as we had to fill a day waiting for the room to be ready, I need to factor this in with my flights.

Location close to Port Authority is convenient but too busy, you have to battle the crowds just to walk on the street.
Negatives:
Room was tiny, certainly by US standards and even by European standards. Some staff were nice, some were barely polite (although do work efficiently.) The neighborhood close to Times Square is more agitated than animated, and rather sleazy. I did not feel unsafe though. The bathroom barely offers any privacy so it is fine for 1 person but inconvenient for 2, even a couple.

The location is very good for our purpose. We can not say the surroundings are perfect but it is NY as it is.
Negatives:
The bathroom is very small... And there occurred an accident with the water supply during our stay, which is surely not the hotel's fault. However, after the water supply resumed for a while, at a certain point, there was no hot water for half an hour and we were explained that all the guests must have been using showers and thus we need to wait for a while, which seems ridiculous for a hotel in Times Square district.

Positives:
- The room was decent sized for NYC (2 big suitcases could fit into the room no problem). Some people here expect a suite or 5-star hotel for a cheap price, but this is one of the most expensive cities to visit. In fact pricing was very competitive and cheaper than most hotels despite us booking only 2 days before our stay.
- Very fast lifts
- AC very strong and easy to use and fridge is always on/cold which is great for the summer
- Rooms cleaned every day and spotless!!
- Daily cookies/free drinks at the lobby and free breakfast
- Quiet and soundproof rooms, we were on the 17th floor and heard nothing
- Hotel card needed to enter lobby which is a good safety plus
- Good transport links for both JFK and touristy places
Negatives:
- The location while central is extremely dirty and smells very bad, lots of homeless people around, narrow streets and cars honking non-stop.
- $200 deposit should be made clearer at booking. Pre-authorization is also the cost of the first night which is a lot of money and depending on your card may take time to be refunded (you still pay for all nights including first night when checking in, expect an additional $400+ on top of your original booking price)
- Shower pressure very weak, however rain shower was excellent and made up for it
- Bathroom door never closes properly and there is nowhere to put toiletries except for a small glass ledge
