La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham New York City Central Park

Negatives: The room was really small, the carpet smells really bad, the bathrooms was unconfortable, i really don't felt good.

Negatives: The bathroom and especailly the sink, was definitely on the small side. Made me think of my time in Europe. However, the location, bed comfort and windows were good. Desk was dated and scratched, but everything was very clean in the entire room.

Negatives: We paid $631 a night for a total of $1894 for three nights; we splurged in order to be near our daughter’s home. What we got for our money was a very small very dark room with no maid service until the last night. We had two towels, one hand towel and one washcloth for the two of us. No mini-fridge or complimentary water. Standing in the middle of the room, my husband could, with outstretched arms, almost touch both walls. There wasn’t enough room to have two suitcases open. The window butted up against a brick wall. We had a full-size lumpy bed that could only be accessed from one side because the room was so small the bed had to be pushed up against the wall. The paint was chipped and moldings were gouged. The carpet in the hallways were stained and old. It was clear the owners have not been tending to the building’s upkeep. It was like a run down youth hostel. Pretty shocking really. We stayed away except to sleep because it was depressing to be there…..and to think about how much it was costing us. Overall, we were fine; it was safe, it was quiet, it was clean enough but it was a complete and total gouge.

Negatives: Unfortunately the rooms were tiny and extremely cramped. (We couldn’t fit 1 suitcase on the floor space). For one person it’s bad, for two it’s impossible. It’s very run down, grubby and the size of the breakfast room isn’t appropriate for the volume of guests with often queues for breakfast.

Negatives: everything else. This is literally the worst hotel I ever stayed, anywhere in the world. This place should be shut down. Filthy, nothing works, I stayed at nicer places when I was a student, backpacking. Had to change rooms 4 times before the "best" one they had to offer. This 4th room still had 2 broken windows, taped up with cardboard. Sink is falling out of the wall. Carpet stained in huge areas. A/C unit taped up and broken. Dust - layers of dust- on everything. Weird smell. Plumbing bad. Noise level from hallway and neighboring rooms was insane. Also the only "pet friendly" hotel I've ever been to that offers nothing for pets. Not food/ water dishes, not a bed, a toy, walker recs, anything. Small potatoes in the grand scheme of other failings, but every single thing about this place is a low rent dump, and no one should be charged for staying here. Apparently it was a homeless shelter recently, and it's good for people who are unhoused to have somewhere to be. But it hasn't been cleaned since, and about all it should be at this point is a halfway house or something, if not a total tear down. Please see pics. And I have more.

Negatives: The room and bathroom are very small

Negatives: Very shabby. Needs a real overhaul. Lots of fittings worn and loose. Only one lift. No service lift for the staff. Breakfast room tiny, frequently overflowing. Breakfast basic but adequate

Negatives: Zero environmental awareness, plastic dishes for single use at breakfast. You are told off by the staff if you use the same plastic cup for the waffle batter twice because everything has to be "clean".

Negatives: The breakfast room in very small and it was hard to get a place to sit. The food was fine though.
