The staff were incredibly rude and not helpful at all - we just arrived from Australia and had our 2-year-old son with us. I have stayed here before and loved it. It has completely gone downhill, 3 staff actually watched us struggling with all our bags and not 1 person offered to help. This place is a complete waste of money and so disappointing. The rooms are small, zero amenities, poor service.

Positives:
I loved the simplicity of the room - although it was tiny, it was extremely comfortable and clean and just what I needed after a very long flight from Australia. The location was great, it was busy outside but lovely and quiet in my room. I enjoyed the restaurant next door and that it was within walking distance to everything I needed.
Negatives:
The foyer was undergoing renovation so was busy during the day and the cafe had very few menu choices - but still adequate for my needs etc.

The white room definitely helped the tight quarters. The beds were comfortable and marble tile in the bathroom added to a lux vintage feel. The cafe in the lobby has great breakfast items plus the Illy coffee.
Negatives:
The bathroom had a urine smell even if the cleaning team had just come. The safe in the closet didn't work, therefore didn't close so it banged into closet door everytime you open it. The lady at the front desk had a self-contained attitude, so the being customer centered was not happening.

Staff were excellent, very helpful and always available on the front desk.
Negatives:
The room was in the middle of the building, and very small, and unfortunately hardly any natural light could come in due to the location of the room within the building. It's a shame that all you could see out of the window was red brick and air-con machinery in the outside spaces of the hotel.
