The location is excellent, amenities are very good. The room were clean, comfortable.

While we stayed, only one elevator was running and that issue cause delayed and wasted time waiting to go to the lobby. This was quite disappointing because our group wanted to leave early to visit the city and we lose time. It is important the availability of the elevators to be in good condition. At least on Saturday night, someone from the staff let us use the cargo elevator and everyone including seniors guests were able to access the rooms quickly. The rooms are quite expensive and we expected a plan for elevator issues to let guests arrive or leave in time for leisure reservations. Besides this issue, everything went well during our stay.

Positives:
We loved the location. That's why this hotel was chosen. It was pricey but it is right across the street from the George Wilson Theater where we were attending "Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club."
Negatives:
For the price, almost $1,000.00 for two nights three things were disappointing. First the lobby is on the fifth floor. There are two elevators from street level. For most of our stay one was out of order. At times there was a long line waiting to get on the functioning elevator. Second. If you arrive too early to check in or you want to leave your bags after you check out you have to do that on the first floor. That sations was perpetually understaffed. Third I went to the front desk and stood in line to get change to tip the housekeeper. I was told the front desk didn't have change and to go to the gift shop. There was no clerk in the gift shop. Back to the front desk. The attendant there left to hunt the clerk down and I got my change after he reappeared. I am fully aware that hotels in NYC are expensive but for the price I expect everything to be working and a full, top-notch staff.

• Very central location.
• Great views.
• Very comfortable bed and pillows.
• Bath and shower, the latter with good pressure and rainfall and hand-held shower heads.
• Windows open and AC works well.
• Great decor - very cool.
• Very cool rooftop bar with view down Times Square.
• Very accomodating staff.
• Can leave suitcases there all day for free.

• Our room (901, facing Times Square) must have been right next to the elevator motors or something, because it sounded like something was grinding against the wall every few minutes, even all throughout the night. Ridiculous considering it's meant to be a premium room and it cost £322.83 per night!
• No kettle or coffee machine in the room.
• Bar is ludicrously expensive and service is very slow. $30 per cocktail, not including tip. All surrounding cocktail bars are like $20 maximum. They do offer $10 per room per day off.
• Wi-Fi was often almost unusable (~3 Mbps download and upload).
• The lifts / elevators from the street to the lobby (where you must then take separate lifts to the room) are very small and very slow, AND one of them was broken for most of our week-long stay, leading to a very long queues both ways.
