Positives:
Central location and near to Penn Station so great for LIRR, Subways and Amtrak trains. The rooms, although very small was well equipped and comfortable, the bed was a good size and very comfy. Love the steamer for clothing. Restaurant/Bars on site did great food at a reasonable prices. Free 'help yourself' coffee came in very handy in the mornings.
Negatives:
My room was on floor 12, just a few floors below the rooftop bar. As this bar closed at 4am over the weekend the noise/music form the bar did disturb my sleep at times. Air conditioning in my room was also incredibly loud, thankfully the weather was cool enough not to need it each night, I wasn't sure if it was faulty.
As the rooms as so small there isn't really the space to spread out, to hang clothes etc.

Positives:
Fun. Friendly. Loved the one in Chattanooga too.
Negatives:
1- the air conditioning wouldn’t come on when it should and no fans in the room so it would get sticky and hot. Room tiny like a closet and no shower door or bathroom fan so humidity hangs everywhere
2- rooftop bar is so lame it’s laughable. Although the side w/the view was closed for private party the night we went up. Also, 21+. It was the main reason we booked it.

Positives:
We were pleasantly surprised to be checked in at 11 AM—something we've never experienced at any other hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly, and everything was so well-organized and thoughtfully arranged. Our room was 19m², which is spacious for the area. While there wasn’t a specific view and the windows were small, the price and location, combined with the cleanliness and the fact that the room had everything we needed, made it a great deal.
What we really appreciated was that, unlike many other hotels that charge additional amenity taxes (sometimes up to $60 a day), Moxy surprised us in the best way. Instead of extra charges, we received a $30 credit per day for breakfast or drinks, which we could use for coffee, drinks, croissants, and more. It was a fantastic surprise.
The location couldn’t be better—right in Midtown with the subway next door. It took us just 1 hour and 20 minutes to get to JFK airport by subway.
Negatives:
It would be great to provide two towels per person, especially for women, as we often need one for our hair as well.
