Positives:
Location was great. New and modern. Some of the reviews had said the rooms were small so we were pleasantly surprised. It does have a we bit of a split personality in that by night it is literally a nightclub and by day it feels way more family and wholesome vibe. That’s NY for you! Loved the morning free muffins coffee and drinks. Staff were always happy to help.
Negatives:
Coming in at 12am we got the nightclub vibe entrance so it took us back after a long flight and I was with my teenage son. Not a negative but just good for people to be aware and brace yourself for. Just know by morning it’s other personality kicks in.

Chaotic charges. We booked a four night stay at the MOXY. We paid for breakfast as part of our booking via booking.com. We were told by reception on arrival about the destination tax of $30 per room per night (we booked two rooms so $60 a day) and it was confirmed by reception staff that this was included as part of our booking and not an extra. We had two rooms and were advised, despite having paid for breakfast in our booking, that we should spend this in the hotel. We spent below the equivalent for each room in the cafe below the $60 a day threshold.
We noticed two MOXY payments pending in our bank account of circa £128 and questioned these at reception. I was told they were pending and it was just the way charges worked and they would not be charged as it was included in our booking unless there were as they put it ‘incidentals’ from our room. There were no incidentals.
We have now been charged an additional £128.67 despite being told we wouldn’t be?
Very unhappy.

Location was good for our trip. Bar and cafe were nice. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Was pretty quiet.
Negatives:
Room was beyond tiny. Barely fit a king size bed. Only 6 inches of room between window and bed on one side. No room for clothes - had to slide suitcase under bed.

The location is great, easy access to subway, SOHO, China town. Nice to have a food credit although we didn’t really use much of it. Nice staff and helpful door men. AC worked well and easy parking for a good price.
Negatives:
Our room on the third floor was loud, the sliding doors to the toilet and shower were hard to open. The elevators are hard to figure out.

Good location to explore the city, many travel options nearby (bus, metro). Located between Chinatown and Little Italy with many restaurant options.
Negatives:
The hotel advertised an included breakfast which turned out to be thin coffee and packed cupcakes. Not really what we expected, especially when looking and booking especially a hotel with this option.
