Positives:
Location was great! Very close to times square. The room, the lobby and other common spaces were very clean. It was a small room but perfect for one night. Bathroom and shower perfect too.
Negatives:
The only thing was the room phone that kept beeping and it took us a while to figure out how to make it stop (removed the phone from the charging station).

Comfortable bed, great water pressure for NYC. Facilities were clean and the staff was very nice and helpful, I was able to check in earlier and also a late check out.

The location. I didn't feel safe walking by myself in the area at night or day light. The price was also very expensive for what you're getting. Even though it is clean, modern with a great vibe, it still feels like a hostel with your own private bathroom - for the price, next time I will probably just stay at a hostel. I've stayed at the other Pod's locations many times, this is one had the smallest bedroom so far. I only booked it because I needed a place close to the Port Authority, but I wasn't expecting that the area was in such bad shape.

Great place to stay if...
Positives:
Relatively inexpensive hotel with a young and informal vibe. The location was rather neat, a couple of blocks away from Times Squares (10min walk) and at night it was decently quiet (on the 18th floor). The room was clean but compact, though nicely organized - ideal if you plan to spend the entire day out and just come back to rest/freshen up.
Nice plus: the hotel held our luggage after check-out time, cost-free. We had time to kill between check-out time and our flight, it was nice not having to drag our bags around.
Negatives:
The bathroom was not a separate room, but more like an area of the bedroom enclosed in opaque glass - I can see the transparency being bothersome to someone. The bathroom glass walls were not all connected up to the ceiling, the empty space not providing privacy and making for some awkward situations. The room had a weird smell to it - nothing too strong, but noticeable. We believe it might have to do with the plumbing and the bathroom not being its own room, but we can't be sure.
Our biggest issue was not getting hot water in the shower (we did for the sink, though). The first night it was cold even on the hottest setting, so we brought it up to the front desk the following morning. We were told that sometimes hot water could take some time to get to the higher floors and that they'd send someone to check on it. We were out early in the morning and came back late at night, so we don't know if anyone actually showed up, though we received no updates from the front desk, nor anyone checked in with us on the situation. Once back, we ran the shower on the hottest setting for 20min (what a waste), but it got lukewarm at best. To summarize: we had no hot water outside of the sink and took cold showers twice in the middle of October. We only stayed 2 nights and had a packed schedule, so we didn't want to waste time going back to the front desk. No one apologized to us for the situation, nor offered to change rooms or even minor compensations.

Positives:
The location was convenient for where I needed to be during my trip. I was attending a conference and Hell's Kitchen worked well. The room was clean and tidied each day, small but I was really only there to sleep so that was fine! The bathroom worked well, and the room was pretty quiet considering the location. It also felt like a safe building.
Negatives:
I would have liked a little more information beforehand on check in and check out processes, but the staff were helpful in getting through everything.

Place was excellent and close to all the important spots in NYC so it allows you to know very well the city without having to take trains to Manhattan.
Negatives:
Beds were a little uncomfortable and the hotel's daily rate is very expensive.
