Positives: Ability to book a corner room/city view was great-- and it really made the stay special. Spectacular view.
Negatives: Our room was supposed to be ready by 4p check-in, and we were told that we'd get a text when the room was ready. It was nearly 5p and no text, so we went back to the registration desk and were given a room (I guess someone forgot to text us when it was ready. ONLY thing that wasn't great.

Positives: My mother was ill during the trip to the point that we had to call the emergency services and the hotel could not have been more amazing. They called 911, kept checking in to make sure we had everything that we needed, arranged another room for us on the same floor for my father and daughter and were just generally brilliant! Room service was great quality food. The breakfast was lovely, and the restaurant and bar area was bright and clean. All of the staff were very friendly.

Negatives: When the reviews (which I rarely give muxh consideration to) say the walls are thin, BELIEVE IT! Unless you’re a very heavy sleeper, you will clearly hear the next rooms conversations. Ear plugs and you’ll be fine. That shouldn’t be necessary in a spendy hotel, but it is. Otherwise good place in Chelsea

Positives: Staff were very helpful in moving us to a different room. Bottled water and snacks provided in the lobby each day was great for our big day of walking around Chelsea.
Negatives: We had to move rooms due to noisy night club and hot water failed to reach the higher floors.

Negatives: The imposed destination fee of USD 30 daily was ridiculous and when we tried using it on room service, we were further slapped by a USD 5 room service fee plus an automatic gratuity of 20%, regardless of the level of service provided. Worst of it was, the wine we ordered through room service was only delivered 45 mins later (upon a follow up call after being initially informed that it would be delivered in 5) and served in plastic takeout cups.
