Positives:
We had a wonderful stay. We booked a king suite with a view for our anniversary and were given an upgrade to the 65th floor with amazing views of Times Square and the Hudson River. The views, comfort and amenities were spectacular!
Breakfast was included and was substantial and varied. There were plenty of options for gluten free folks and the breakfast hall was spacious, bright and comfortable. The Olympics were playing on every tv and every one was part of the moment and it felt great to be with such a diverse group of guests. The whole stay was friendly, upscale and comfortable.
The location was choice! We walked to broadway plays, Times Square and Central Park. We will definitely be back and hope to stay longer.

Loved the position as walking distance to Times Square & theatres but just outside of the chaos of Times Square.

Some seating in Reception would be good.
Breakfast wasn’t a pleasant experience. Staff didn’t clear tables so residents were having to do it. Not enough staff to help. Hot breakfast was the same most days - a choice of scrambled eggs or scrambled eggs!
One of our rooms was also very smelly every time we returned in the evenings. Extractor fans in the bathrooms would be advisable.

Everything from the valet parking, to check in, the room was a corner room with a fabulous view, and breakfast, well excellent does not do it justice.

The location is perfect, you can easily go wherever you want.
5th avenue shopping? Checked.

The breakfast is really really awesome. from coffee fruit salad and everything you can think of American style is so good. Even you wake up too late you can even pack your meal with paper box before the breakfast time is closed. Strongly recommend.
The view at night is really amazing also.

Not sure it happens in every room or not, but my shower curtain smells pretty bad and it's annoyed every time I step into restroom.

The pictures of the hotel are better than the hotel really is. The rooms are old and used. Noisy, old equipment. You wait ages for the elevators.

My stay with my friend at the hotel was bad because the hotel tried to withdraw money from my card 4 times. As soon as I arrived, the person at the front desk asked me to take a picture of my Visa card due to a global technical malfunction and I gave it to him. A day later, the hotel withdrew the amount they needed, but then for two days they tried to take different large amounts from my Visa card, which forced me to block the card, and I desperately needed to use it while I was out of the country. This made me feel insecure and unsafe to take the same hotel again.

The hotel has a great location, a diverse breakfast selection, clean rooms, friendly staff, and I would definitely return to this hotel if I come to New York again.
Negatives:
The only thing I didn't like about the hotel, especially of this type, is the use of paper plates and plastic cutlery for breakfast.
