We were only here for a night. We arrived early, and did not expect a room until 4pm as indicated. They held our bags while we explored, and called around 2pm to tell us our room was available. The room was clean, and very large. The bed was comfortable. The location was exactly what we needed; right next to the Gershwin for our show, and attached to a subway station for getting up and down town. The cost was less than others in the area, and we would stay again for sure.

They gave me the room on the 9th floor that has horrible smell of mold. I couldn’t sleep all night because of the smell. The bathroom had a smell of garbage. I felt that I am sharing a tent with homeless people on the street. I paid 500$ per night, excuse me but cleanliness must be for such huge amount. Municipality should check this place for mold and bacteria. Don’t recommend to anyone stay there.

The staff were not the friendliest and I felt that they try to scam me. 500$ was added to my bill without my knowledge and luckily I paid attention before I paid and when I looked closely I noticed a smoking fee for $500 and we don’t even smoke. When I asked the front desk person she took the bill and said let me ask the manager, she went to a room next to the reception, printed another bill and gave it to me. I don’t think she talked to anybody. That was scary, if I didn’t notice because I was in a hurry I would’ve paid it.

Great hotel, central location but away from the craziness of Times Square. Close to metro stations and to Central Park. Our room was huge, comfortable and nicely decorated. Staff was nice and all went smoothly. I highly recommend this hotel, and glad I picked this part of town over TriBeCa. The temperature was incredibly hot in NYC (35 degrees) but even if we left the AC off during the day, we never came back to a hot room and it was easy to bring the temperature to what we wanted within a short time.
Negatives:
All was good really, so just being picky here. They provide a hairdryer and a clothes steamer, but the inside of the steamer would have needed a good clean, we didn’t use it as it looked a bit gross.
