Awesome hotel between Central Park...
Negatives:
The noise from other rooms and the hall was very loud. The queue to check in, check out and bag check was beyond a joke. Pillows were awful, as was the mattress. Everything in the hotel looked tired. Queue for the Starbucks also terrible and if you didn't make the morning, couldn't buy a bottle drink in there after.

Location. Feeling of having made it to a comfortable home base at the end of the day.
Negatives:
Chronically understaffed reception desk. At check out (9 am Sunday) I waited 15 minutes to get to the front of the queue. But then it was ANOTHER 20 minutes to be served. Only one (clearly incompetent) guy on reception for this massive hotel, and a staffer escorted someone up to line-jump in front of me. More than 30 minutes of my day wasted.

Nice clean building, but tiny...
Positives:
The concierge, Michael, was the best help. He certainly knew the answers to all of my questions. He helped me with my Free Top View Hop-on , Hop-off passes. Kendra was also helpful. Michael had directed me to her when he was off on Wed. He also helped me with how to get discounted tickets for Broadway, printed the available shows on Tks.com, and showed how to get to Lincoln Center.
I'll always remember him and his wonderful help.
Carolina, the server at the Library Bar was the best! Despite the bar being so busy, I noticed that she always kept calm and cool. She was quick and efficient and warm and friendly. She remembered my name the next evening and my drink of choice. When I was late running back to the hotel two nights in a row, 5 min before last call for the kitchen (1030 or 1040pm, she helped put in my order quickly. It's a good thing because I had called the front desk or operator on my way back asking how late I could get there before dinner, and she said don't worry, the close at midnight. Of course, that always means there's last call for both the kitchen and the bar. The front desk or operator should be careful of giving misinformation. That would ruin someone's evening.
Joycielyn, who worked on my floor, housekeeping services was wonderful! Always greeted me when I was in the hallway. Asked if I needed anything. Helped with extra towels, providing new with regular coffee since I don't drink decaf coffee.
Some hotels rotate which person is assigned to the floors every day, so you don't really get to meet with them to say thank you or connect. I'm glad Joycielyn worked on my floor the whole week because, by then, she knew my requests and needs and was so helpful!
Negatives:
There was someone else who initially helped me with my free Top View Hop-on , Hop-off passes. I didn't get her name, short, Mexican, I think. Michael was busy, so I went to her. I am in no way discrediting her due to her ethnicity. I just can't describe who she was except by her height, etc. but I wish I did get her name because she wasn't helpful or friendly at all. She screwed up my passes and then said she couldn't do anything about it before printing it. Didn't explain the process of using it. Told me since she printed it, it was too late, I couldn't change my mind to use it the next day instead because it was already noon, and I would not have had much time to use it.she said I would have had to ask the bus driver. Dumbest answer. She shouldn't be a concierge. I'm still pissed about it.
Holland Market buffet was ok. Food wasn't that great, average, I would say. It's not worth the price of $38

the location was ok our night time event was around the corner so that was very helpful.
The room should have a small refrigerator because of the free water you do give us I did not go get mine because there was no way to keep it cold. Also I did not find no ice on floor 14 guess it is only on certain floors but there is no notice to tell anyone. the breakfast was good I loved the bacon and the sausage and waffle that I had. the server was nice but he did not know English, so my coworker had to talk in Spanish. I understand I only speak English so they should have someone who could help them when a consumer is asking for hot tea no coffee.
