Everything about our experience was wonderful. The staff consistently provided impeccable service throughout our stay. Others things we loved are the food, decor and historic elements of the architecture. Our room was clean and very comfortable.

I don't think I have ever encountered such rude and disinterested staff at any hotel before. I was really looking forward to staying at your legendary establishment but can't believe management has let the place become so desultory. a very big shame. I do have to say the bar staff were friendly but was very annoyed when I ordered two cocktails for $ 60 dollars(!) and they turned on the full lights when we still had half our drink left. not impressed. hope you can take some action to turn the ship around.

The staff were professional and very friendly, from the desk, to the valet to the waiter. Hamlet oversaw check-in, was gracious, did't say much, probably had a long day, he did tolerate gentile petting ('H', is an orange tabby).
In the morning we had a top-notch breakfast with excellent coffee.
The location couldn't have been better as it was barely a five minute walk to The Town Hall, where our event was. Easy!
If you appreciate history, art, theater, good food and drink (+ handsome feline concierge), this is a great place for a special New York experience.
