Great location, spacious suite
Negatives:
Dated room and decor, everything was a little grimy. Stained bedding, dirty robe in the closet, someone else’s underwear in the drawers :) also on our last day they had to turn the water off in the entire hotel as an emergency?! With no warning. So we had to go to their sister hotel to shower before our long flight home to London.

Positives:
Great location next to Subway and close to Bryant’s Park and Grand Central. Pleasant staff. Nice newly refurbished suite.
Negatives:
We were first into the newly refurbished suite and there were many snagging issues to resolve. The most critical one was a light sensor in the lounge where our daughter was sleeping on a sofa bed - all lights on every time she moved in bed - result 6 nights of very broken sleep! The well-meaning front desk staff kept telling us the engineer would fix it and it never happened. We paid a significant amount of money for the suite to accommodate 3 adults so you can imagine our frustration for our daughter on her first exciting trip to NYC - took the edge of it somewhat.

Positives:
Excelent location. The room was recently refurbished. Big and clean room.
The two guys, bell boys, at the provisional entrance, gave us a real welcome but not the lady st the reception. She was not kind neither helpful, her main interest was us to pay the $60 for early arrival.
Negatives:
The hotel is in total refurbishment, workers are everywhere and the elevators were dirty with dust from the works.
The safe in the room was broken but it was repaired.
They charged us $60 for early arrival at 11am. We agree because we beeded a good shower after a long trip, but once in the shower I discovered the bottle dispenser of shower gel was comletely empty so I had to leave the shower to call recption for help. Lack of supervision of the room condition.

Bed and room were comfortable and large.
Daily cleaning of room was excellent.
Location was good for us - could walk to many sites of interest and 2 different subway lines were close by.
Negatives:
The building work did create some noise.
Limited facilities due to the refurbishment work.
A table to eat at would have been a good addition.
