First night they gave us a trashy room(419) completely different of what we have booked. Very noisy from some outside ventilation, very old furniture. Next day after we complaint, they changed to a room very alike to the one we booked

Good place but the rooms...
Positives:
Very clean and spacious room. Bed was very comfortable. Room had a desk and chairs. Large window overlooking the street. Very friendly staff and doormen. Conveniently located relative to midtown Manhattan and subways. Easy access to and from La Guardia Airport.
Negatives:
There's a cupboard credit of $10, which is good. But you have to be sure to confirm with the desk staff what you take. I was charged for items I didn't take. The staff were very good about it and took it off my bill after I said I didn't take it. But I think it would be better to avoid such situations by having a better system in place to confirm what guests take.

Great stay
Positives:
Location was really nice, near 5th Ave and a subway station (Lexington). Nice neighborhood with plenty of cute restaurants nearby, not 'touristy'. Staff was friendly and arranged a transfer to JFK for us for $110. You get a $10 credit every day for snacks and drinks downstairs to take to your room.
Negatives:
Room had a weird, humid smell since the first day of our stay until the last one. No amenities like toothpaste, showercap, slippers etc. Tissues were not refilled by cleaning staff. Turning the lamps on/off was unpractical. Size of the room was definitely not 30m2 (which it said in the confirmation) and didn't look like the pictures (e.g. old bathroom with shower curtain).
