Even though the room was quite small, it was very comfortable, well appointed and felt luxurious. The Lobby was great, the staff were very friendly, they had oranges at the receptions, bottles of water just perfect (after spending a week in road motels).

Positives:
The location of the hotel was amazing. Located just outside of a subway stop and with a lot of local amenities for places to eat or pick up supplies. Very close to the 9/11 memorial and a few malls. A great place to set up base for your NYC trip! The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The shower was good and the bed was comfy which covers the most of what I look for.
The hotel happily looked after our luggage before and after check in. This freed us up to head out without being laboured with our luggage.
Negatives:
When we arrived we were checked into a room that had obvious damp issues. There were wet floor signs outside the room and clear signs of dampness in the ceiling. The room smelled bad and felt damp inside. The hotel staff did help us with this by moving us to a new room the next day. It's still disappointing for the hotel to have placed us in a room that clearly wasn't fit for guests for our first evening.
We had breakfast included with our stay but the staff in the restaurant are so rude and dismissive it put us off going on our last day.

Perfect hotel for NY stay!
Positives:
The staff was super friendly, the lobby and the cocktail bar, Primos, are both beautiful. We’re New Yorkers doing a “staycation” here one weekend. The hotel is generally charming and the amenities in the room were good. It also had a good tub.
Negatives:
I wish our room had been brighter, our only window was onto an airshaft which wasn’t ideal. The room service we ordered was from the restaurant downstairs, Serafina, which sent me some of the worst pasta I’ve ever tasted (I don’t blame the hotel for that, but beware)

Very good location in the south of Manhattan. Walking distance from World Trade Center and from the ferries to go to the Statue of Liberty. Right outside of a Subway station.
Good breakfast. Complimentary bottled water.

The room was extremely small. Very narrow, hardly could one person stand at each side of the bed.
