Negatives:
I stayed at this hotel and was very dissatisfied, I paid my nights on booking and when checking in I needed to pay a deposit which at check out I was informed would be returned to my account, but the hotel did not refund my money, I sent it message and email but they didn't respond, they simply kept my money, if I had to pay more I would have stayed in another hotel with a better structure. I consider this dishonesty.

Lift kept breaking and jumping up and down, staff were not attentive at all and knew the lift was broken but let people keep using it. Bed was squeaky and uncomfortable and room was tiny nothing like the pictures. The whole hotel is extremely dated

We got stuck in the elevator. We were told the freight elevator did not work and the elevators were to be replaced soon. Not comforting for those fearful. Taking the stairs up and down 14 flights was not fun. Room was very hot. Air did not work. Room very loud - we could hear people yelling outside and constant honking and sirens.

The elevator was broken when it was time to check out. I stayed in the 14th floor. I had to walk down the stairs to leave the hotel. Wasn’t happy about that.

The furniture was falling apart, chest of drawers didn’t open properly, and air con was faulty. The lifts were dreadful, there were 2 tiny lifts which allow 7 people at a time and they you’d wait for 30 minutes before they came. It was ridiculous. Constant noise and dark room as there were huge air con units outside bedroom windows.

Positives:
Small single room but perfect for just me for a few days in New York.
My friends had to change rooms as no hot water in theirs and got upgraded to a new room with minimal fuss later in the evening.
Negatives:
A little rough around the edges. Construction workers outside my window at 8am and housekeeping at similar time but just made sure I was out of the hotel and exploring new york before they arrived. But friendly staff throughout hotel.
