The rooms were a good size.
Negatives:
I was placed on the second floor near the stair case, where the staff slammed the door closed all day and night (throughout the night). Because the elevators were a bit slow, the stair case was in constant use between the first and second floors. If you stay on a higher floor maybe the experience is better. But if they place you on the second floor or any lower floor definitely ask to move. There are only 4 room per floor so you will be hearing any door that opens or closes because they all slam.

Staff was friendly. Ilda was a gem! Location was good. There are a number of places to get coffee/breakfast nearby if you do not want to eat in the restaurant.
Negatives:
I should have upgraded my room when offered. Despite the "soundproof" windows, there is still a lot of street noise on the 4th floor facing the street. Like many NY hotels, the room was adequate for one person, but 2 would have been impossible.

These are the things that were miserable: the hot hallways, the hot elevator, the bed is terribly uncomfortable. The water heater is insanely hot. Tried to shower at night, started the water on cold and it was BOILING! It stayed boiling for 20 mins until it finally cooled off. Absolutely terrible. I stayed here for 4 nights and every single night was miserable in that bed. I didn’t get any sleep. I will never stay here again.
