The staff was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to help us. The location cannot be beat for taking the subway.
Negatives:
There was a night table on one side of the bed only. It would be nice to have two chairs in the room. The toilet paper was cheap. Being next to Herald Square is very NOISY. There are constant sirens.

2 slow elevators and 12 floors means sometimes waiting a few minutes for an elevator.

Absolutely no facilities- no Kettle, tea/coffee in the room and nowhere in the hotel to get any kind drink. Would be better staying in apartment. They also then had the audacity to take 3 payments off my credit card despite not being able to buy anything. No response to emails or phone calls so had to raise dispute with bank. Absolutely appalling level of customer care.

Disappointing and also robbed me
Positives:
The location of the Gregorian is ideal for getting around the city especially from a tourist point of view wanting to explore the city of New York. We were able to walk to Times Square, Broadway and Central Park as well as back down as far as The Bowery and across to the Hudson River. It is right on the doorstep of Empire State Building, Madison Square Gardens, Penn Station and of course the Subway. The location for us was ideal.
Now to the Hotel. All the staff were wonderful, from greeting on arrival and each time we entered the building. Many convivial conversations were had. Housekeeping and maintenance staff were all accommodating as well. The room was clean and fresh, Bed super comfortable.
I have no hesitation in recommending this Hotel to everyone.

Space between bath and toilet way to small in the room we stayed. Bathrooms of other family members was more spacious though. So depends on the room you get.

Great location just off Herald Square, close to Macys and within easy walks of many midtown attractions eg Times Square. Smaller hotel making it easy to go from front door to your room. The rooms were very quiet, bathrooms well appointed and overall a good place to sleep. Also hotel super helpful in holding luggage on day of checkout
Negatives:
Aside from a fitness centre, there are very limited facilities. No tea or coffee in bedrooms, no bar or breakfast

GREGORIAN IS A GOOD OPTION...
Positives:
The position, beds and cleanliness. Very close to pretty much everything, the staff is very kind and we were lucky enough that both elevators were working despite what said in other reviews.
The hotel is cozy and well maintained. Loved the water bottles offered daily.

Amazing boutique hotel!
Positives:
Perfect location and surprisingly good sized room for three of us. Good to have two full-sized, comfortable beds and space to change in the area meant for luggage storage. Water bottles greatly appreciated.
Negatives:
A kettle/coffee making facilities would have been a welcome addition, and would have liked to be able to open the window. View from the room was disappointing.
